igroup, one of the UK’s most experienced Microsoft Gold Partners, specialising in Azure and SharePoint, has smashed their proposed growth targets set at the end of...
Last month, igroup attended a charity oriented event held at the Macdonald Portal, Golf & Spa Hotel, Tarporley. Steve Rastall, igroup’s Managing Director sponsored a table at the event to help generate funding for the King’s School, Chester.
The King’s School is a top performing British independent school for children and is one of the leading co-educational day schools in the country. The event was organised to aid in creating funding towards free places for gifted students who come from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The event started with a gathering for early evening drinks which was promptly followed by a welcome talk from George Hartley, King’s headmaster, and a game of ‘heads and tails’. A four-course dinner then followed at 8pm with the event concluding with an after-dinner speech by Dennis Taylor the 1985 Snooker World Champion.
The event raised just short of £14,500 thanks to the generous efforts of all the events sponsors through raffle tickets sales, bids for auction prizes and the head and tails game.
Steve was pleased to help the event because he was lucky enough to go to a private school himself and he knows how much it helped him. “I am thrilled to be fortunate enough to help disadvantaged children get bursaries and scholarships for such a great cause.”
