Ensuring cloud stability and AWS uptime

As AWS experts, igroup will work with you to specify and architect an AWS cloud solution that will maximise infrastructure and application uptime and performance to give both you and your customers confidence

Amazon Web Services have been designed and developed with built-in redundancy, failover, backup, and many other features that maximise availability and improve stability for applications hosted in the cloud.  A professionally managed deployment in AWS can be more reliable and secure with lower ongoing costs than in an equivalent physical data centre.

As an Amazon Consulting Partner, igroup will advise you on the most appropriate solution based on your business objectives and requirements which will maximise uptime and keep costs down.

igroup AWS experts will plan and architect stable AWS solutions that maximise uptime and compliment your move to the cloud

Ensuring cloud stability and server uptime in AWS

One of the biggest concerns for companies who have already moved, or are considering moving to the cloud, is server stability and uptime. Failures can undermine customer confidence in your applications which can result in significant financial costs for your business and damage your reputation jeopardising future sales.

A stable cloud environment will give your users confidence in your solutions

AWS comes with a 99.99% Service Level Agreement (SLA) guarantee. This is because the architecture of the Amazon Cloud is built with redundancies already planned. Redundancies and features need to be built in at its core which ensures your applications and infrastructure are running on a stable platform.

  • 3 redundant copies of data with 1 copy in a separate physical data centre in case of a major outage
  • Automatic fail over to backup server to reduce downtime
  • Hosting applications on at minimum of 2 server instances for when hardware failure occurs

With the additional management tools provided by igroup’s Cloud Control software, we are able to extend the uptime SLA for applications hosted in AWS to 99.999% – in practice this means less than 6 minutes of unplanned downtime over the course of a year.

Working together we will ensure that your applications sit in a stable AWS cloud environment with maximum uptime that supports your business objectives.
