Secure and flexible compute power for any business

By selecting the right virtualisation option with AWS EC2 you will achieve optimum performance based on your objectives and keep costs down.

There are four different virtual machine options available within AWS. These are free, on-demand, spot instances and reserved instances. The one that is best for your business depends on a number of factors including computing power and availability as well as your budget.

We provide a full consultancy and planning service for your AWS migration and will advise you on the most appropriate resources for your cloud infrastructure. As part of our process of developing your solution, our team consider your business objectives, your application needs and service level requirements as well as your budget to create the right solution for all your requirements.

Our specialist AWS team will select the VM instance which will maximise performance of your applications

Virtual Machines can save you the need to buy and maintain hardware.

Virtual machines instances within AWS are an on demand, scalable computing resources that offer flexible cloud computing infrastructure. Virtual Machines can be turned on and off as required as well as specified for the specific tasks.

AWS VM instances give your business the flexibility of virtualisation without having to buy and maintain the physical hardware that runs it.

Selecting the right instance lets you manage and control costs effectively and improves overall performance

AWS has 4 main virtual machine options available. These are free, on-demand, spot instances and reserved instances. The free tier allows your business to get started quickly with AWS and gives a platform for developers to start working on immediately.

As AWS experts, igroup will work with you to understand the benefits of each option and how it best fits in with your requirements. Once the right instance has been selected we will provide ongoing support and advice on how to achieve best performance and utilisation whilst keeping costs down.

  • On-Demand instances – You pay for compute capacity by the hour or the second. There are no long-term commitments or upfront payments and you can increase or decrease compute capacity depending your requirements.
  • Spot instances – As with on-demand you pay for what you need and it allows you to request spare EC2 computing capacity at a much reduced cost but there are times when this will not be available.
  • Reserved instances – With a reserved instance you specify your requirements but only pay when they are used.
