CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management, a process that a company will use to manage their customer contact.  CRM software supports the entire process including storing customer’s personal and payment information, managing prospective customers, maintaining contact, and tracking purchase.This kind of software can be used by all departments in a company to access information and use it for a variety of business tasks such as sales, marketing, training, and development.  However no matter how good a piece of CRM software is, its effectiveness is based entirely on the ability of the company to train and encourage its employees to use and maintain it regularly.  Unused software is as pointless as any other unused tool.This means that when a company is considering purchasing a new application, they need to factor in the cost of the time to document the instructions and train their employees to use it properly.  Otherwise, it may end up being a poor investment.
