The term ‘bespoke’ refers to the customisability of something. When used in a technology setting, it means finding solutions to the unique needs of an end-user. These solutions make take the form of software, or they can refer to marketing, processes, or other systems within a business or organization.
For decades, business tools were produced and could be used only partially by some companies. Other companies could not take advantage of these tools at all, because of the nature of their business or the existing structure of their organization. During the last two decades, however, a huge focus on customized solutions has become the focus and even small businesses now expect some level of customization. A high level of competition within the information technology industry is bringing more and more tools to the workplace and small, independent IT firms are able to work with small businesses on the scale that they can both use and afford.
