The GPS or Global Positioning System helps you to locate any area or monitor a vehicle. If you have a fleet of vehicles and want to track their movements, GPS is the technology which can help you. GPS systems are used by the military for keeping track of their own as well as enemy troops.
Since the launch of the first satellite in 1978, GPS has become one of the most essential aids in navigation around the world and an important device in surveying and map making. GPS is also used in the scientific study of earthquakes and the management of telecommunication networks.
Among its many uses GPS is being increasingly used to track cash vans which carry cash to ATM’s and between bank vaults. Along with CCTV systems, GPS keeps continuous tabs on the movement of vehicles. With GPS systems in place there has been a decrease in robberies enroute.
GPS tracking has been successfully used in merchant shipping. Shipping vessels use GPS tracking extensively while navigating around the world. The devices have become an integral part of the technology on board ships. They allow ships to navigate the seas.
GPS has replaced the older mapping technology. The accuracies of geographical maps have also increased considerably with the advent of GPS. Terrains which were earlier inaccessible due to dense forests or high altitudes are now easily mapped with the help of GPS.

Sometime ago our MD came up with the idea of ihelp.
Every three months we, as a team, give our time on a Friday afternoon to help a charity.
Last Friday we went to Dynamic, a Wrexham based charity who do a fantastic job for young people with special needs and their families.
We painted a couple of rooms for them. We as a team enjoyed it. It was team work at its best. We had the tall guys who were able to reach the high walls. The shorter people painted the lower walls. Don’t know why I was given the skirting boards to do!
The whole team want to say a thank you to our colleague Zhao who organized the afternoon.
